RETEK is an independent crafting colony based in an abandoned furniture factory.
Our aim is to found an annual international platform for creative individuals, makers and a diverse multidisciplinary communities. We would like to explore the intersections of craft, spatial design and performative art through organising a summer event for collective making and community building.
Retek is a Hungarian word with a double -meaning. The name reflects on the ambivalent values of the camp, we embrace puritan community life, high-tech workshops and extravagant parties.
